About Us

Limes Play and Learn was established in May 1990 by Diana Nottage located at this time on Westgate, It was relocated in March 2008 to a purpose built setting in the grounds of St Michaels Primary School.

In December 2015 Diana retired and handed the Limes reins over to myself. The Limes on Westgate was where I first started, completing my training in Early Years, I returned to work there for 8 years. In 2009 I opened my own setting in Grimoldby after having my own children.

We have a large open plan classroom, which is divided into all areas of learning. There are good supplies of resources and toys available for child initiated play. There is a large wooded outdoor space, which is well equipped with challenging climbing apparatus, a trim trail and an outdoor classroom which is accessible throughout the day.

The Limes caters for children aged 2 – 11 years, open 50 weeks of the year, offering breakfast, afterschool and holiday club. We operate a walking bus service delivering and collecting children from St Michaels and Kidgate Schools. The out of school club incorporates fun activities for all ages.

Limes Play and Learn offers many facilities for families and their children. As the early years are important formative years it is our aim to provide a number of activities which will help your child to develop to the best of their ability. We are registered for the ‘EYE’ (Early Years Entitlement) for 3 and 4 year olds. We also take 2 year old funding when children have met the criteria. We are registered and inspected by Ofsted to ensure your child’s care is of the best quality.

Our aim is to create a pleasant, friendly and secure foundation for your child’s first steps in nursery education within a structured and happy environment. We will encourage your child to develop to their full individual potential. We value the relationship with our families and working together is an important aspect of the nursery. If there are any contributions or ideas you would like to make please speak to a member of staff. Most of all we want your child to be happy.
